  • Wear a pie... Making the world happy with pastry

Look I am sort of rethinking something I posted yesterday... It's okay, I have been told I can!

I posted yesterday that you should pie someone, okay bad mistake... I had a lot of people tell me (hello nice people) that this would not make people happy, quite the opposite...

I still happen to think that pies are silly and have the world beating oppertunity to make people happy, therefore, I am changing the plan slightly.

Please don't pie anyone... But instead, get them to pie you (or pie yourself if you must!) I am looking to create a league of pied people, all with the single aim of making the world just that little bit sillier, you see I still belive that slapstick has the power to make people happy.

Please go and visit the new (and not very good yet) Wear A Pie site - http://sites.google.com/site/wearapie/ and sign the pledge of piedness... Then you are on your way to doing your bit.

    {People, I believe we can change the world, one pie at a time... Please support and tell your friends, even if it is to say, what a mad fool he must be...}

  • Look, I'm cold and I'm wet... Am I still happy?

Happiness is a state of mind, I say that as I walk in the rain to a meeting which took me eight hours of cancelled trains and long journeys to get to.

Well. actually I am, I have some tricks you see, and the simplest is finding the right music to play.

Okay, finally the good Doctor has gone mad, but you will find that, the right, upbeat, happy music can make you feel better even when it is cold and wet. Of course it isn't a cure all, but it is a good start. Try playing a great, sunny track and thinking of the good things... (perhaps even who you would want to pie in the Pie Challenge - check the other threads).

But how do you conquer bad days, I would love to share your happiness tips with the world!

  • The pie challenge

Okay, are you getting the idea about being happy... But don't know what to do to be silly? I have an idea, I would like to introduce a pie challenge...

It's simple, simply take one pie (I prefer a nice custard pie, but chocolate will do, heck, be creative!) and one friend and then go for your life!

10 points per pie... and tell me one thing, I belive it is impossible to pie someone without smiling... and (as long as they are not wearing their best clothes) will also smile too!

My suggestion, make two pies and have a joint pie splat!

Comments on how you get on welcomed, and sorry, we cannot be held responsible for dry cleaning bills!

    Be Happy!

    Simple Custard Pie

    1 x Pastry pie case
1 x Packet of Ready made custard
1 x Can of spray cream

    Simply assemble and fling!

  • Are you really happy?

Look, what with the credit crunch, money problems and the world just being a plain ol' nasty place I think we are forgetting some really important things...

I will ask you again the question that I have posed in the title of this blog, are you really happy? Do you even remember how to be happy?

You see, I want to help a little... I would like to introduce sillyness, happiness and general good feeling wherever we are. Okay, I do realise that this idea has been done before, and by better people, however there is no loss in having a go.

    Here is the idea:

    a) Introduce a 'Random Act Of Happiness' in your day
    b) Be silly at least once per day...

What is a random act of happiness?

Well, it could be as simple as smiling and saying hello to someone, hold the door open don't just push through. It could be making an effort to be happy today.

And silliness? Well, you tell me, be funny, do something daft (yet safe!).

What do you get? Firstly you will feel happy and secondly you can join the happiness league. No prizes I am afraid, but a list of people and things that they have done.

Go on, write in and tell me how what you could do to make the world a happier place, or take part in our random challenge.

    Be happy!
